Google keeps on releasing frequent updates for all users. Recently, they released the version 71 of chrome which was a great update for all Mac owners. But still it lacks certain additional features such as Dark Mode in Chrome. Fortunately, macOS mojave is expected to receive the Dark mode chrome update by Early 2019 as reported by Macrumors.
After the release of chrome version 71, many mac users were complaining of the Dark mode feature not being available to macOS Mojave.
Some Reddit sources have revealed that it was kind of a bug and the code change has been submitted. This bug shall be Patched in the coming Chrome version 73 update [expected by March 2019] and the users will get Dark Mode in MacOS mojave also.
Moreover, there are many beta version testings that keep on going in Chromium Dev forums. These versions are tested first on Canary [developer version of chrome] .All the bugs found are reported to the Developers in chromium Bugs library where they patch them. Only then the stable updates are released to the users.
The new dark mode features will be applied to all the chrome’s UI components viz. tabs, menu, bookmark, status bar, dialog boxes, browser extensions etc. The chrome settings will also have a dark background once enabled in the system preferences.
Moreover. all the dark mode features are to controlled by Feature Flag Toggles which means every feature can be enabled and disabled by Flags under the settings.
The only problem google developers are facing is How to make it differ from private browsing window [incognito] in Dark mode as both the windows will be Dark in color.
